Deconstructing a men's tailored jacket. Lesson 1 - 25.10.2011

Starting with this...........

I detached the lining of the jacket from the outer and turned inside to look more closely at the construction. I really like the layered padding on the shoulders..... it reminds me of armour.

I then draped the lining on the stand, being conscious not to manipulate it too much and just letting it dictate the shapes.

This is my favourite version as it reminds it of a cross between a luxe waterfall jacket and a varsity jacket!

All in all I think this is my favourite lesson so far as I feel I can really work with some of the shapes and lines created.
